My specialty is organic vegetable gardening in areas of “spotty” rainfall. West Texas is dry, dusty and windy. It gets very hot in summer and quite cold in winter. The soil and water tend to be alkaline. Did I say it can be very windy? There is usually a serious lack of humus in the soil and iron and calcium tend to be unavailable.
