I started my collection of Match Box – ‘Models of Yesteryear’ by Lesney in 1983. It was a small collection of 90 models that i bought from a deceased estate. Most of the models were Y-12 Ford Model T vans, not particulary inspiring but never the less a start. My collection grew over the years with purchases at toy fairs, car boot sales and most notably when I purchased a number of rare models from Perigrine Models of Plymouth, who were selling off ‘The Ray Bush Collection’.
