The Center for Risk Assessment (CRA), led by clinical forensic and neuropsychologist Dr. Brandon Yip, PsyD JD, trains professionals to evaluate suicide and violence risks. The center developed the quantitative SRA and VTRA scales to measure individual desire, intent, capability, and protective factors. CRA research shows family is often a protective factor for European American youth, while Asian and Hispanic American youth more frequently face risks like perfectionism and low belonging.
