St. Sebastien-sur-Loire and Porthcawl signed a Town Twinning Charter on 21st March 1999. St. Sebastien is similar in size to Porthcawl. Since signing the charter the two associations have visited each other on a biennial basis. Visits combine the building of friendships and promoting a greater understanding of each others cultures and the considering of broader issues relating to the European community.
