Union Bay Improvement District
The Union Bay Improvement District (UBID) is a local government authority responsible for providing Waterworks, Fire Protection and Street Lighting to the residents and property owners of Union Bay. UBID was incorporated by Letters Patent on March 18th, 1960 when Canadian Collieries (Dunsmuir) Limited sold their water system to the newly formed Union Bay Waterworks for $1.00.
