Fringes is a blues rock band from Manipur. As also suggestive in its name, the band is committed to exploring and articulating issues and conditions of marginality. The band members belong to a milieu where many cultural imprints could be found, from the traditional musical culture of the region to the wave and onslaught of Hindustani and Western music that came through colonialism and globalization at different phases of the region’s history.
