The college was registered in 1982 with the Ministry Of Education and Culture as a study group that was initiated then by the government in pursuit of liberalizing the education sector in a new Zimbabwe. In 1983, the college was registered as an independent college with the Ministry of Education and Culture to offer Academic, Business, Secretarial and Technical Courses.
