Staten Island Basketball league group is composed of many former college, high school and hard-nosed playground basketball players. It was formed because many players were seeking an indoor venue to play year-round. players are from all walks of life and all social levels — rich, middle-class, poor, unemployed and under-employed. There are physicians assistants, senior executives, bartenders, teachers, detectives, policemen, firemen, businessmen, construction workers, retirees and long-shoremen.
