At 44 yrs old, I was hospitalized with heart failure I began to explore gastric banding and quit my 30 yr smoking habit cold turkey. I began looking into gastric banding which I had successfully done in 2010. However, for me and my health issues, it was not a good fit. My revision to a vertical sleeve was done September 29, 2014.
