KENYA ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN
KAWP is an Affiliate of IAWP since September 2013. Its conception was back in 2011 when the US Embassy in Kenya was running a programme on Gender Based Violence called ICITAP. This programme saw them train Instructors, Training of Trainers (TOT) at the Kenya Police College, Kiganjo. It is here that one of the ICITAP facilitator who sold the idea of forming an Association for women police Officers to the trainees. She also expounded to them the IAWP agenda.
