Grant's Lounge in Macon, GA is the Original Home of Southern Rock. The bar and lounge have been in operation since 1971. During the heady days of Capricorn Records Grant's Lounge was the venue of choice for showcasing aspiring bands like Tom Petty. The Marshall Tucker Band auditioned for Phil Walden who, after dancing in the aisles to their music, signed the band the next day. Historic jams by members of the Allman Brothers Band, Wet Willie, Wings, Eric Clapton to Eric Quincy Tate happened here.
