JCI was introduced to Onitsha, (then Onitsha JAYCEES) by Jc (Dr) Nnamdi Eriobuna who joined JCI in early 80s when he was in Kano. The first meeting of Onitsha Jaycees was in December 1986. The chapter got its affiliation on 5th December, 1986 under the leadership of Jc (Dr) Nnamdi Eriobuna (Pioneer Chapter President). However, the chapter collapsed in 1992 due to lack of membership. The “Second Missionary Journey” of now JCI Onitsha City began in July, 2008 but not without the assistance of JCI
