In late 2009, the company discovered a new oil field (Mason North East) in Effingham County, Illinois, with the Keller #1 well. The well produces from the Roseclair sands and had an IP of 80 BOPD and no water. A few months later, the company made a McCloskey Oolite discovery with the Hinkle #1 well. That well had an IP of 385 BOPD and no water. These zones are now under water flood. Due to this discovery, MDM Energy, Inc. was nominated for 2009 WILDCATTER OF THE YEAR by the IOGA.
