Instinctual bypass is the primary focus of social control and religion. Once a culture has been saturated with fear of pain and want of blissful eternity, it will run counter to its inborn instinctual intelligence; which brings about two circumstances. First, as it is basically similar to a disease, a.k.a. dis-ease, it will take over the brainwashing responsibilities itself and seek to infect others. Second, it will despise itself and want to die.
