The Dwyer family have been breeding Shorthorn Cattle since the 1960’s.Shamrock Shorthorn Stud was started in 2004 to complement the existing commercial herd. Registered cows from the Clargo and Gumble herds were purchased along with the classification of cows as SFA from the commercial herd. The most noteworthy of the early sires was Lone Pine Regmont S106, a magnificent soft roan son of HS Rolex, who left a legacy of females with the maternal traits that the Shorthorns are renowned for.
