I am a neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive spinal surgery. I am fellowship trained and one of the busiest minimally invasive spinal surgeon in central ohio. The surgeries I perform are similar to the ones that are done at the Laser Spine Institute but it does not involve a laser. If your surgeon states that he/she does minimally invasive spinal surgery, make sure that the surgery is truly minimally invasive with incisions that are very small (16-18mm).
