SE Mass. Pine Barrens Alliance
Southeastern Massachusetts Pine Barrens Alliance (SEMPBA) is working to conserve the Atlantic Coastal Pine Barrens of SE Mass. Pitch pine-scrub oak forests once covered the eastern seaboard but now the area in Mass., encircling Cape Cod Bay, contains the second largest Coastal Atlantic Pine Barrens remaining in the world. SEMPBA is building a regional alliance to strengthen all conservation work and raise awareness. Programs include: Terrestrial Assessment training and educational outreach.
