My name is Elijah, I’m 17 years old and I make wooden pens. When I turned 11 my grandfather began teaching me spindle turning on the lathe and then how to turn pens. I made pens for many of my family members and then when I was 12 I decided to start my own business. I made a business card and sold my first pen to my neighbor. Since then I’ve sold hundreds of pens at craft fairs, homeschool conventions and by word of mouth.
