Jubilee English Girls' School was founded on 6th March, 1937 with the inspiration of Maharshi Karve, Chiplunkar, Lokmanya Tilak, Agarkar. In pre independence period, on the auspicious occasion of Silver Jubilee of his coronation, his Highness Balasaheb Patawardhan of Miraj State, started the first girls school in Miraj.
