The Friends of HMS Trincomalee is a charitable trust that exists to promote and support HMS Trincomalee, a 195 year old Royal Navy sailing frigate that was launched in 1817 and is the second oldest warship afloat in the world. The ship is located in Hartlepool, United Kingdom and is owned an maintained by the HMS Trincomalee Trust. The ship was built of Teak in Bombay, India and saw service in the Atlantic and Caribbean on anti-slavery patrols, and later on the Canadian Pacific Coast.
