Susan Ukkola is an encaustic artists and runs encaustic art classes and workshops in her own studio at UkkolaArt. Encaustic art involves fusing a thick, translucent layer of beeswax to a milk paint-primed panel and then scaping to reveal marks. She works spontaneously, intuitively allowing the work to evolve as it will. Sue is a very supportive instructor and her classes are energetic and filled with positive energy.
