Yayasan Musik Jakarta was founded in 1983 in jakarta by Dr. Kuei Pin Yeo. YMJ providing a musik education with an integrated curicullum, inclusive of methods that set standard and shape Indonesia's classical music education of today. Sekolah Musik Jakarta was the first project under the YMJ. then the formal education is Sekolah Menengah Musik Jakarta/YMJ High School for Music and Sekolah Tinggi Internasional Konservatori Musik Indonesia(STIKMI)/The International Music Conservatory of Indonesia.
