During the winter of 1976, seeking year round work for the mills, owner Carmen Ando worked his way down the Eastern Seaboard and wound up settling in Florida. Under the name of Turtle Southeast, Carmen traveled the Southeast promoting the benefits of cold milling, pioneering a new industry in the region. Carmen was joined by his son, David (current President), in 1983 and Turtle Southeast was incorporated in the State of Florida. Son Thomas (current Vice President) joined Turtle in 1984. Both
