The Old Stone Fort is a 1772 church, fortified during the American Revolutionary War, and attacked by British, Tories and Indians in 1780. Also used as an armory during the American Civil War, a museum was established here in 1889 by the Schoharie County Historical Society. Exhibits include a 1732 Newsham fire engine, a 1903 Rambler automobile, a double-barrel rifle and powder horn attributed to Timothy Murphy, a restored New World Dutch Barn, one-room schoolhouse, and museum store.
