The laboratory of Andrej Kral is a university institution working on improving and developing new technologies for replacement of sensory and neuronal functions using neuroprosthetic devices like cochlear implants, brainstem implants, deep brain stimulation and retinal implants. Our research concentrates on deafness, auditory prostheses, brain plasticity with use of these devices and new neuroprostheses exploiting laser light for stimulation of the cochlea.
