Middel Vlei Self Catering Cottages (Within the Overstrand and near Hermanus and Kleinmond) is situated within the private nature reserve Middelvlei at the mouth of the Bot River Lagoon. Declared by UNESCO a World Biosphere and earmarked by it as a World Heritage Site. This piece of pristine land was bought on auction some years ago from the local authorities who used it as a holiday resort for the nearby Hawston community.
