The Mackenzie and District Museum showcases the heritage and people of the community of Mackenzie, community of McLeod Lake Post, and the Williston Reservoir in north-central British Columbia, Canada. Our region has a rich cultural, social, and natural history that led to the development of Mackenzie in the 1960s as a planned 'Instant Town' community in the Canadian wilderness, to accommodate a workforce for the growing local forest industry.
