The 4G++ project is an ambitious research endeavor tackling new methodologies and schemes solving many of the significant challenges of LTE and LTE-Advanced systems in the following areas: 1) channel-aware radio resource management for LTE uplink, coordinated multipoint and Carrier Aggregation; 2) inter-cell interference coordination including autonomous power control, interference alignment, and autonomous radio resource management in femto-cells; 3) Relaying and network coding.
