We are developing a program Bittally. BitTally is network traffic monitoring software with state-of-the-art protocol recognition engine based on Deep Packet Inspection technology (DPI). Over 100 application protocols are currently recognized, including BitTorrent, eDonkey, FTP, HTTP, POP3, SIP, Skype, and many more. Even encrypted BitTorrent, Skype, etc. connections are recognized. BitTally can also detect suspicious activities, reset undesirable TCP connections, or even redirect HTTP sessions.
